| What aspect attracted you to the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary? |
I still remember the first time I visited an FMM convent. A young, smiling sister answered the door. Then I met about a dozen sisters of different ages. What struck me most was the joy of each one. That encounter left a deep mark on my heart.
When I recognized God’s call to religious life, choosing a congregation was very simple. I became curious to understand what gave them such great joy, which they radiated in their lives. This led me to discover three aspects: their life of prayer—especially daily Eucharistic adoration—their fraternal life, and their mission across various fields.
In a few other encounters, I also learned about their presence in more than 75 countries around the world. Nothing of my first impression has changed. Eighteen years after that first visit, I can say that I too have found and live this joy in my life as an FMM.
