About the Community
In Oullins, south-west of Lyon, the FMM sisters’ house is at the heart of the city — the town hall, church, metro, and buses are all close by. The door onto the street remains open: a visible sign of availability, welcome, and openness to the world.
It is an international fraternity that also welcomes sisters in studies—this year in pastoral theology and the French language—sisters at the beginning of their religious formation, and young people wishing to discover FMM life.

Main Missions
- Care Assistant for the Elderly Through paid work, sisters accompany elderly people in their homes, in closeness and daily service.
- Parish Youth Club, Catechesis & Sacraments Engagement in local parish life: running the youth club, catechetical accompaniment, and preparation for the sacraments.
- Secours Catholique & Evangelical Service for the Sick Voluntary presence alongside people in difficulty and the sick, in the spirit of Franciscan solidarity and compassion.
- French Classes at the Community Centre The sisters run French classes for people of foreign origin, fostering integration and social cohesion in the neighbourhood.
- Accompaniment A service of listening and personal accompaniment, open to anyone who expresses the need.
The Chapel — in the Garden
Nichée dans le jardin de la maison, la chapelle est ouverte à tous pendant la journée pour un temps de prière personnelle et silencieuse. Les personnes qui le souhaitent peuvent aussi s’unir aux temps de prière communautaire the sisters.

Access
Oullins town centre, close to the metro (line B, Oullins station) and several bus routes.
The Chapel
Freely open during the day for personal prayer. Welcome also at communal prayer times.

The fraternity welcomes sisters in studies, in initial formation, and young people discovering FMM life. Please contact us in advance.
