About the Community

Eight sisters from different cultures, sent on mission to La Madeleine — a young and international community, founded in 2017, living on the outskirts of Lille in diversity and joy.

Engaged in various settings — diocese, hospital, local authority, associations, school — the sisters build fraternal bonds with those around them. These encounters live within their prayer.

They live by the spirit of Saint Francis and Saint Clare, through shared joy and fraternal support.

Areas of Engagement

• Diocese Participation in the life and services of the diocese, in continuity with the FMM missionary vocation.
• Hospital Presence alongside patients and healthcare teams, in the spirit of the healthcare ministry dear to the Institute.
• Local Authority & Associations Engagement in social and associative structures serving vulnerable or disadvantaged people.
• School Presence in the educational environment, witnessing to the care given to every child and young person in the neighbourhood.
