Welcome! Peace and Joy!
In 2027, the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary will celebrate the 150th anniversary of their foundation by Marie of the Passion in 1877.
This Jubilee will be a year of remembrance, thanksgiving, and renewed missionary zeal.
Through various events, gatherings, and spiritual initiatives, we wish to rediscover the founding intuition of the FMM: to go out and encounter the world, to live the Gospel alongside the most excluded, and to bear witness to universal fraternity.
In the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi, this Jubilee invites us to move forward simply and fraternally, with the desire to bring peace wherever we are sent.
Jubilee 2027
Throughout the Jubilee year, several initiatives will be organized to help people discover the history of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, the Franciscan missionary spirit, and the role of women in the mission of the Church.
This Jubilee will be a time to reflect on the journey since 1877, to give thanks for the sisters sent throughout the world, to listen to what the Spirit is saying today to our missionary family, and to open new paths of universal fraternity.
It will also be an invitation to hand on a legacy: a memory, a spiritual intuition, a missionary joy, and the desire to serve Christ in every people, every culture, and every encounter.
Women, Mission, and the Church
This Jubilee will also be an opportunity to reflect on the place of women in the Church and in mission.
How have missionary women contributed to proclaiming the Gospel throughout the world?
How has their often humble and discreet presence helped build bonds of trust, education, care, justice, peace, and fraternity?
What can the intuition of Marie of the Passion still say to us today?
Through conferences, testimonies, encounters, and times of reflection, we wish to remember this living history and open a dialogue for today.
Summer 2027 — Festival at Les Châtelets
In the summer of 2027, a festival will take place at the Manor of Les Châtelets, the historic birthplace of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary in Brittany.
In this place of memory, nature, and silence, several days will be offered around walking, prayer, praise, fraternity, and Franciscan joy.
A pilgrimage and festive experience rooted in the history of the FMM and turned toward the future of mission.
Stay Connected!
The Jubilee program is still being developed and refined.
Dates, registrations, conferences, events, weekends, and new initiatives will gradually be announced on this website and on social media.
